The Purpose

"If you want to see what someone is capable of becoming, look at what they're building while they're breaking." - Givenz

I think about this quote a lot because some of the most meaningful things are built through the season of uncertainty. The Journal Queen is one of those things. If I'm being honest, some days I know. exactly where this brand is going, other days if I'm overthinking every little detail. I want everything to feel intentional and sometimes that means I spend too much time trying to make something perfect before I share it. 

TJQ was created because journaling and therapy changed the way I saw myself and how to communicate better. How to sit with discomfort and how to build healthy relationships with myself before expecting someone else to. Those conversations turned into questions that bloomed into The Couple's Compass. 

The more I grow, the more I realize this brand was never really about journals. It's about creating space. Space to pause, reflect, and have difficult conversations with strangers and those we are close to. Have you ever noticed how easy it is to converse with people we don't know? Like, are strangers really strangers or are they people who hold a seed we need in order to grow? 

I don't know exactly what TJQ will become but I know I want this to be bigger than me. A place where people remember how to disconnect from Wi-Fi and connect with themselves and with each other. Thank you for being here while I'm building it and I'm grateful you're apart of the story.
